I agree the wheel chock should be further back but at the time I mounted it I was more interested in the strength of the ply near the edges where it was bolted down vs mounting it in the center of a rather flexible sheet of plywood..
My Bike had broken down so we bought the trailer off CL, stopped at HF for the wheel chock, mounted it in the grocery store parking lot, rolled the bike on and headed home..
Even with the GS1000 on the Suburban hardly notices it's there..
