I have one of those and they aren't that powerful, but are great routers, and they just don't die. Maybe just change brushes.

Get it! I have had one since they came out new, and have yet been able to kill it. I use mine regularly to surface walnut red and white oak. I have replaced the belt one time, some dummy forgot to measure the thickness of the far end of the board and tried to plane about 3/4" of white oak in one pass.
Be sure and ask if the owner has the blade alignment tool and the sharpening jig. If he doesn't they are available from the usual sources.Often in error - Never in doubt
