Looking to get a new blade for my BS. It's a Delta 28-243F. What length should I be getting? Can't seem to find the manual online. Should I simply measure the current one? The increments for different blade lengths seem to be pretty small and I don't want to be off by a little in my measurement and order the wrong one.

looked at the pictures/parts list on the net... 28-243 is a 14" cast iron frame bandsaw from the 80's and is based on the standard Rockwell/Delta design.
i think you'll find all those Delta 14" bandsaws with cast iron frames take 93-1/2" blades.Loring in Katy, TX USA

I found this, it may help. It isn't the "F" model but have a look anyways if you want.

Jussi,
Not sure what type of blade you are looking for but I have a standard 93 1/2" blade just lying around my shop unsed. This was the blade that came with my PM bandsaw but as I got the riser and it went on immediatley its never been used. IIRC its a 3/8Jon

I have two 93 1/2 as well and they are posted at amazon.com for sale: one is Timberwolf (1/2 inch) and the other Olson All Pro (1/8 inch wide). I had the same situation, the order arrived when I already had added the Riser Block to the BS.Last edited by Al R.; 10-07-2009, 12:41 PM."The course of history shows that as a government grows, liberty decreases"....it happens the same with a big shop.Comment

And to check yourself, calculate it yourself --
2 * 3.14 * wheel radius + 2 * the between the 2 wheel axles
This will give you an "average" length -- I would try the standard blade that is closest to my calculation.Comment
