    New router table 99.9%

After two years I finally got my Sommerfeld router table off the temporary mount and finished the router cabinet. I still need to attach the handles for the bottom drawers, once I get screws.

It looks like it is hovering because there are wheels under it on the right and and a foot pedal from an old Rockler mobile base on the left.

The guts are made from 3/4 baltic birch with maple face frame, doors and drawers. The top is 36" x 27" and the fence is 48" by 5" high.

The three upper drawers on the left each hold 18 half in router bits, one of the drawers on the right holds 28 quarter in router bits and the other two are for tools & jigs. All the drawers have a 3" over travel.

The bottom drawers house two more routers and larger attachments like edge guides etc.

WOW! Nice looking cabinet. If this is an example of your shop furniture I can't wait to see what you do for the rest of the house!

Inside the cabinet, the switch is in a watertight, and I therefore assume dust tight, exterior switch box. In addition to the foam gasket and heat shrink rubber boots I sealed it with clear silicon. I use the belt and suspenders approach. I can open the box from the front and get to the switch, but if I ever need to change out cords I'll need to build a new door.

Please ship to me for evaluation purposes, I usually only take about 3 years to come to a conclusion on an items usefulness. Heck I'll even pay half of the shipping costs.

The biggest drivers for the project were missing bits and never knowing where my wrenches were.
