    That's interesting, I had to get double-shielded bearings w/ a 1/2" shaft and 1-3/8" O.D. and double-shielded through McMaster were between $9 and $12 each (depending on rating). A local bearing supplier was actually a little more expensive.

    Even the open ones were $5 each.

    At $1.50 each you got a bargain.

      McMaster is overpriced. Like Grainger, you don't go there for the good prices. You go there because they have it.

      With a quick search I found a place that has them for about $1.50 a piece. You have to buy them ten at a time though. Those are the same bearing number that are in my saw now.

        Somewhat agree. I also go there because they have fairly decent quality. I had purchased thrust bearings for my bandsaw on eBay and they didn't last very long. The first one (bottom) failed on me within six-eight weeks of installing it. The second one a few days later. They both just stopped spinning when required to do so. The ones from McMaster lasted until I sold the saw (about a year).
