Craftman Model 21828 Table Saw - Comments?

I just saw at my local Sears store this table saw. It seems to be a new model. Anybody has any comments or experience with this table saw. Thanks.

No experience with it, but it appears to be made by TTI/Ryobi, and appears to be very small.

Happiness is sort of like wetting your pants....everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth.

      It doesn't just appear small...

A guy in a very small, say 10x12 shed for a workshop might just love that saw, but don't EVER expect to be able to rip or crosscut bigger material with it...

I recently bought a similar looking saw at a garage sale for $20. I gave it to my son. It is very small, but it works pretty good. The saw in the photo seems to be a gussied up version of this saw.

Agree with the comment about TTI-based saw. I think its an attempt by Craftsman to compete with the Dewalt and the Makita job site saws.

It's actually a bit of a clone of the Bosch. And the table expands out to the right so you can rip up to 25" wide. However, I was looking at getting one last year and after reading a few reviews about how it's table wouldn't lock down square to the blade: I decided against it and bought the Bosch. No regrets at all!
The blade guard was originally on the Bosch as well and I see it showed up on the new Unisaw. Proof positive it was an inovative step foward in blade guards.
