    Decent Miter Gauges Under $50?

I am about to pull the trigger on an Incra V27 from Amazon--$48 with free shipping seems like a great deal, and I have wanted one for awhile. Are there any other decent MG's for less? I guess it would have to be a lot less to not get the Incra. I would love to get the V27 locally, but Woodcraft has them for $20 more.

I don't need it for much since I use my SMT a lot. I mainly want to use it to attach various jigs to that I can't or don't want to do on the SMT.

Don't feel bad if you end up with the v27. I have two of them, and they are the real deal. You will be dead long before yours wears out. (I'm just sayin'...)

The V27 will be hard to beat unless you buy a used one or stumble into a hellacious deal. Can't think of anything close at that price range. I'd scout for a deal on the V27...

I purchased a V 27 about a year ago. I found it was unfortunate I didn't have one 38 years ago. I was extremely impressed with it... enough that I took the same deal at Amazon your getting (a good deal and the cheapest around as I shopped) to get the second one.

I will say that the V27 is one of five things in my shop that I wished I had years ago after discovering it. It's right up there (probably even exceeds) my Bosch barrel grip jig-saw.. You might find a cheaper miter gauge (not much really) but... you want find a better miter guage for $48.. barr none. It has changed my work technique and I'm in the shop everyday.

          Good luck...

Does that gauge fit in the bt's dual miter slot? Seems like a really good deal.

+1 on the V27....hard to beat for the money. As mentioned, Amazon has the best pricing at $48 shipped.

                  Joe,
I've had a V27 for 4 years and love it. Great quality, well built. Is the Amazon offer with free shipping?
I may have to drop a dime for a second one.

Doesn't come up that way as I look at it. Is there some kind of promo going on that I'm not seeing?

I just got an email from woodpeckers who are offering 10% off all incra products making the V27 $43.19. You will probably have to pay shipping though.

related to using it on the BTs dual miter slots I found it didnt do too well. I had a V27 for a weekend and while I liked it the area in front of the blade is so short on the BT you dont get that much usable space between any miter gauge and the blade. As the dual miter slots are straight and have no T slot if you pull back the miter gauge too far it will easily fall out!!

I took mine back and built sleds instead.
