Maybe it's like that argument for buying land, 'they aren't making any more, you know':-)

I'm thinking of contacting the seller to see if he wants to buy mine for $500.00.

Sometimes it seems like some people think that because "they" own something, then that makes it increase in value. I have talked to a few people like this over the years and they get indignant when you tell them the "real" or street price.

I have a display BT-3000 that I bought as a parts/back-up saw. It was turned on once to test the motor. Never has a piece of wood across it.

I would let it go for the bargain basement price of $650.

well, it does have a router and an original Ryobi shop vac (this dates the BT3000 to the real early days like 1993), still $700?

Could have been a mis-print. A CL seller here in Atlanta the other day advertised a new Griz 1023.. 6" Griz jointer.. 6" Griz edge sander.. 1 HP Griz DC.. DW biscuit jointer and several other things for $1000. He got over 100 calls in the first 30 minutes.

He wanted $1000 for the saw with various other prices for the remainder. I don't need any but I called as I could resell it for around $2200 within a week. Sometimes these folks don't think clearly how they word something when they place an ad or.. perhaps just a typo error?

Looks like the 8" model. Hey Loring, if this guy sells his maybe you need to up your price for yours?

Ya know, posting links to craigslist is starting to piss me off. Not that it's any forum member's fault, just that by the time I see the link, the craig's list posting is always gone. Pretty pointless. Jon posted that under 6 hours ago, and it's gone now, makes me sad that I didn't see the funny bit.

What was it that you were posting Jon? Maybe we as a forum should always try and remember to state what the post is rather than just a link?

It was an 8" or 10" Delta Shopmaster drill press for sale for $400. The same one you can pick up for about $100 or so brand new.
