    Mibro Dado Set

A freind of mine offered to trade a barely used Mibro 8" dado set in exchange for me building him a small cabinet.I know the mibro sets are one the lower price sets but I never have used them. Will they hold up to normal wear fairly well?
I dont really use a daDo set very often and Im not looking for a dadonator or Forrest commercial type quality.
I will be basically trading scrap and a few hours for this.
I think therefore I .....awwww where is that remote.

I assume that's a carbide tipped set? Almost any carbide tipped set is much better by 10, 20, 50 x over plain HSS dado sets. If you are looking at wear and longeveity. There's other things that go into a quality dado, though.

It is carbide tipped so it should hold up fairly well but I know there are other variables as well. Maybe I am thinking a little too much, but I like to hear real world usage and appreciate your opinions and knowledge

I have the mibro 8" carbide dado set and have had no complaints and I have used it a fair amount. I did need to debur the shim washers but that was the only thing I had to do. I have run it to 3/4" by 1/2 dado's with my BT3000 and it didn't bog down the saw any more then I would have expected They provide a good clean bottoms to the dado.

          Thank you for your insight.
I think this will work out good for both of us.
