    New Grizzly 9" Bandsaw T20837

    Anyone know about or have one of these bandsaws?
    It has a fence and roller bearing guides for $119

    I've been looking for a small bandsaw for building RC planes.

      I've been looking for a small bandsaw for building RC planes.
      Overall it looks a LOT like the Ryobi 9" bandsaw, but if you say it has roller bearing guides, I would guess they upgraded it a bunch.

      The drawbacks to the Ryobi are of course the guides (blocks) and the plastic tensioning knob. Never heard of a member here blow one out though...

          After living w/ a Craftsman for a while, I decided I really don't like the roller bearings. I really prefer guide blocks.

                  10'' tube frame saw at Sears is best small saw made right now (Rikon?)

                      The newer Ryobi 9" have guide bearings - my 903 has them, and I believe the previous model 902 did as well. I think they took this improvement from their BS1001SV, which I would have liked to have found, but no longer available. For $99, I find the Ryobi to be a good value (better than the Craftsman 9"), and would buy again for small projects.

                          Don't mean to hijack, but I love my Craftsman 10". I don't resaw, so height and power aren't a big concern for me right now.

                          It will get a lot of use this weekend. It's finally going to be above freezing, and my 7 year old son has a pinewood derby car to build. I can't wait.
