    Lie-Nielsen On Martha Stewart

Yes, that Lie-Nielsen. Yes, that Martha Stewart.

Reasonably informative and interesting 4:41 video on the making of L-N hand planes here. The videos are grouped on the right side of the page; scroll to the right, to the second batch of videos, and look for a fleet of #4 smoothers.

I was in Maine for business a couple of years ago and stayed over an extra day so I could take the tour of the LN factory. Pretty amazing place and well worth the time.

Aren't they all built like that? Surely Buck Brothers of Harbor Freight planes are made in the exact same fashion...

But seriously, as much as I can't afford a LN tool, I can better see why they're so well respected and command the price they do.

What?!? She knows about hand planes, too???

I'm convinced that Martha Stewart is an android. There's no way a real human could do so much stuff.

            Thanks for posting!

So is Martha building her own cabinets now?

Maybe she got vocational training in prison.

She evidently took woodshop while in prison.

                      No, it was on Oprah.

I figured someone would give me some grief about this. Woodshark, I actually found the link on Chris Schwarz's blog. Hmmm, maybe I should ask him how he found out about it ...
