Since the framing nailer is probably the least used tool in my arsenal and relies on oil to maintain inner seals and o-rings, I was wondering if there is anything one should do to help seals stay oiled when storing for an extended period of time. Other than just blowing a few nails into a 2x4 once in awhile just (for fun) to justify a new dose of oil. (wondering to myself how many of you will suggest I just "store" it at your house.

you are fine. If you really want to be careful the cap the air fitting or put the gun in a plastic bag.Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work. - Thomas Edison -
I lost a real nice Hitachi roofing nailer when it burned up in a fire at my youngest son's house. I didn't feel as bad as he did though. He lost everything.
I just put a few drops of oil in and cap the inlet. Never had had a problem with any of my nailers. I do keep them in the cases they came with, or a satchel type bag.Joe
