    Great jointing tutorial!

I recently stumbled across The Wood Whisperer videos on Youtube, and wanted to share them with you. The video on Jointing is an EXCELLENT tutorial on how to do final prep on lumber with a jointer, and a planer. It also goes into some good detail on jointing without a jointer, such as with a router and table, and on a planer. These methods are making me think I don't really need to consume the space in my shop for a dedicated jointer!
    The Jointers Jumpin! video.

Moderators, please move to the Tutorials section since I cannot post there, and that would seem the appropriate place for this...

I reject your reality and substitute my own.

I can't say enough good about Marc Spagnuolo (the Wood Whisperer). Not only are his podcasts informative and entertaining, he really enjoys helping fellow woodworkers. I recently posted a question on his site regarding a problem I was having with a finishing technique he recommended. He responded with a detailed answer within hours.

While not exactly my style (he was a protege of David Marks), I thought his series of podcasts on designing and building an end table were really interesting (#'s 34, 38-42)

Well, I hadn't heard of this guy until I stumbled on his stuff, and I thought his podcasts would make good fodder for the tutorials forum. He actually makes things like mortise and tenon look doable by the weekend woodworker. As much as I like Norm Abram, his style of presentation always feels like what he is trying to explain is still beyond my reach...
