How OLD is this "never been used" BT?

I think it has the original switch, and it shows the OLD Ryobi Vac. I know high, but I found it humorous that someone would buy it, sit it there and "never used it".

Hard to tell, can't say for sure its the original switch, looks like it might be the rocker switch - mostly red - as oppose to the two-buttonswitch but then that's not a sure thing, the switch might have been changed.

The Ryobi vac was't sold all that long, so it might be early 90s, you could get the flotation table at any time, pretty much, through accessories or sears.

New condition with router and vac and flotation table and all documentation??? maybe not high for asking price, anyway. All in the meeting of the minds of the seller and buyer.

Does it even include a vacuum? The text says 28 gallon vacuum cannister, nothing about the rest of the vac. Still $350 doesn't sound totally out of line.

Saw one a couple of days ago hereabouts on CL that had extended rails and flotation table, and folding outfeed table. Claimed "used very little" and asked $150. Also described the flotation table as a "vacuum table"... Perhaps hooking the shop-vac backwards is what led to this saw being "used very little"...???

depending upon the direction of the vac, (exh or vac) the table is either flotation or a vacuum table. I understand the long out-of-production Ryobi vac is one of the few shop vacs (sears, husky and shop-vac don't have this feature, Fein does) that have a fan cooled motor as opposed to motors cooled by airflow from the vacuum and exhaust. That means that the vac is better suited for closed end applications e.g. a vaccum hold down table - the motor is cooled even if the vacuum flow rate is completely closed off. Normal vacs have the possible danger of motor overheating and failure since there's no air flow past the motor, in extended use.

As for the price, lets not argue about old-new prices, assume the saw is worth 300 new (ran 300-600 during the production of BT3000/3100) extended rails and legs $130, router kit $60, router $80, flotation table $160, and vac $100. I come up with about $830 at the lowest new retail prices. on the plus, its got all docs, its claimed to be unused. On the minus, it might be 15 years old. He might have other goodies not listed... long miter fence, etc.

So, what's it worth (rhetorical question). Maybe $350? If a used but good condition BT3000 w/o any accessories goes for $100 then I can see $350 being reasonable.

I'm not suppried there are BT's out there that have never been taken out of the box.
People do crazy things..

I have a Byron P-51 kit at home..
The guy ordered it in 1981. It wasn't exactly cheep back then.
He ket the thing in the box till hed died last year.
