its not the same kind of thickwall hose as most compressors would use with tools.
Its an integral hose, PVC, probably thin wall, lightweight for maneuverabiliity and low pressure and larger diameter for high volume.

Got a reply from Rockler and they said their unit comes with a
0.9mm tip and a 1.8mm tip. Will have to check mine as I think the only one I got with the unit was the one attached to the gun.

[QUOTE=jhart;364222]The HF model/manual is sure a lot more detailed

That may be the only time in history you see this statement.

Messmaker you're right, you may never hear that again. But in this case, they go into detail about changing the various tips and Rockler has nothing. Outside of that, the instruction sheets are almost identical, except for the names of the companies on each.

After checking, the 2nd tip is included in the box. I had seen it when unpacking the unit, but since the instructions didn't say anything about the different tips, I guess I had assumed that it was a replacement or something.

What WB lacquer do you use with this system? I have the same unit and have been considering giving WB lacquer a try.

            Thanks.

I cannot say how it would work with the HF system but I get good results with Resisthane in my Wagner conversion gun. My guess is it would work well in the HF. Resisthane dries in an hour, is inexpensive (less than $30/gallon delivered), and is durable.

Hydrocote resisthane is exactly what I've sprayed from my HF sprayer. It works well. Highland Hardware sells it, and I'm not aware of anyone else who does. I'd like it if a local store carried it. Actually, I'd love it if Highland opened a store in my state.

You can also order Resisthane from Hood finishing, that is usually how I get it. I never have luck ordering on-line so I call them.

Has anybody shot waterbased enamels through any of these units? How did it turn out?
