BTW, with a 10" blade set to 1.5" high on my PM2000, it's a little over 13" to the front of the cast iron. So the Delta has almost 2" more, which is impressive, though not the 5" that they were talking about in the video.

This thing seems very feature competitive with the PM2000, the rk design is perhaps a little nicer as I have to get a 2nd one for non-through cuts, but I really don't see a big advantage to the Delta that would justify the 700$ price difference. (if it's 2900 for the Delta). The SawStop is much more than the PM2000, but I can see the argument there.

The riving knife is nicer on the Delta, Keith. But... but.. I wouldn't lose any sleep over the fact you have the PM and not the Delta. You paid less and got everything basically the same (yours has built on casters) and the both do what they are designed to do.... Sever wood.

But for the $700 extra you didn't get the drawer. A very expensive drawer made of MDF with lap joints that hold it together. Nice touch those $700 drawers.

I have the Ridgid TS3650 and with my blade raised 1 1/2 inches I have almost 15 inches to the front of the table. I did not realize I had that much room, but it sure is nice to have. The new Unisaw looks great to me, but I doubt my cuts will look any different on the Ridgid. If I ran a full time shop, I'd think about getting one. $3,000.00 for a cabinet saw in a garage where I use it a few times a week is a waste of money IMO. I don't think they asked too many weekend woodworkers what they wanted in a table saw either. If they did the new Unisaw would have a built in mobile base,and would only cost $1500.00

Holy crap that whole riving knife and guard design looks like it came straight off the Bosch table saw. Delta ripped it off!!

Aren't Bosch and Delta owned by the same parent company?

I believe they are seperate.

Bosch owns skil and dremel. black and decker owns delta, portercable, and dewalt.
