    Industrial Supply shops in DFW

I need to get a replacement pulley for my HF 14" bandsaw, but I'm not sure where to find one. Anyone know of an industrial supply shop in the Dallas/Fort Worth area (I'm on the north side of FW) that might have something like this?

FYI, I need this because the old pulley came off and I can't get it back on (full description: http://www.bt3central.com/showthread.php?t=37936) I've been reading the threads on swapping out the v-belt for a link belt and changing out the pulley, but I don't have any idea where to get one.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You can check out Grainger online to see if they have what you need. You can also search online to find the closest location to you.

A Grainger just opened on Vickery recently, near the intersection of Jennings and vickery.

You could probably order one from HF.

in addition to graingers there's also
          www.use-enco.com and
          www.mscdirect.com

          for on-line industrial suppliers

Does Tractor Supply Company (retail stores) also has that kind of stuff. Web page lists 13 pages of pulleys.
You might also try your local Ace hardware, they have a very limited supply of sizes...

Thanks for the suggestions. I had heard of Granger but thought they were an on-line only store. It turns out there's one fairly close to my office, so I'll head over tomorrow and see what I can find.

                Thanks!

Unless they have changed, my experience with local grainger stores is they will have some construction supplies, lubricants, and guys who will "order it for you", that's it. Then they'll ask for your account number, which you don't have, they'll offer you a business account, you don't have a business, they'll politely tell you they are a business only store and they don't sell to the general public.

They are a great resource for catalog orders, if your company has an account. That may have changed though.

Motion Industries only sells power transmission products-bearings, belts, pulleys, hydraulic hoses, etc. I always refer people to them for stuff like belts, pulleys, chain...

personally, I'd call a tractor supply near you and see if they have the pulley you want.
Most of the industrial supply houses prefer to do business with a business where there's not too many questions to be answered. Dealing with the public leads to a lot of question answering and local inventory and onesie-twosie quantities that they prefer to avoid.

Either TSC who deals with individuals and small businesses (e.g. farmers) or doing a interet/catalog order with the MSC, ENCO or WW Grainger where you can find exactly what you want in their catalog and will pay the S&H charges, would be your best bet.
