Oh, I did forget to factor in one thing regarding my post on the powermatic: the blade. The shop I worked in wasn't buying anything special for blades. I don't even know what brand they were, no markings. I know they had good heavy carbide and we had a sharpening service in weekly. But seriously, I get much smoother cuts on my bt with a frued blade. I don't want to knock the powermatic, it's just that my experience with it wasn't anything close to making me consider laying down the cash for it.
That's just me though
I wonder what the PM would be like with a good blade (assuming the 'no-name' isn't anything special.)
I already had the dado cartridge and zero clr plate as well as the mobile base - they were in stock. The saw, rails, fence, extension wings and table board came from the warehouse in Hickory, NC.
I will commence with the pics and install tonight/tomorrow. The fun part will be to get it from my garage front left of house on street level to the walk out basement door in the back right of the house (1 level down). Its not like a hand truck will do the trick here! ha.
