    Aux fence for dados

For those who use the TS for making dados, what do you prefer for a sacrificial fence setup?
Mounting a wood strip onto the adjustable fence or using something like these clamps?

Sometime soon I want to make more cabinets for a computer desk and want to get a TS dado set up. Using a router for dados just doesn't work well for me.

I use the clamps. Although the sacrificial fence can be attached directly to the rip fence (with T-nuts), I find the Rockler clamps to be more convenient, allowing quick attachment and removal of the sacrificial fence.

I also use the clamps for an "L-shaped" extension the extends under the blade guard (Shark) allowing ripping of much thinner pieces.

    Regards, Steve

I use regular "F" clamps for the sacrificial fence. I'm usually working with 3/4" material or less so there is plenty of clearance.

Ditto. If I had thick stock where QuickGrips or the F clamps got in the way,
then I'd probably buy the Rockler ones.

I bought 2 of the rockler clamps and like them. I plan on buying 2 more as I don't feel 2 are really enough for me on my PM2000.

            Thank you all.
I think I'll do some shopping this evening. I've been wanting to try my hand at using a cabinet scraper too. Free shipping at Rockler so here I come.

I've used little short Bessey "F" clamps before but the Rockler solution (or the peachtree ones for half the cost) are better because they don't protrude on the blade side of the fence at all.

Sorry to hear you've had bad luck with routing your dadoes. I rout almost all dadoes and get quick fast clean bottoms. I don't have to push down on the stock and run them site unseen. Here is a link to my shop made jig for use with any router. There's no tablesaw set up or arrangement.

I use three pieces of plywood in a U shape that sits over my fence. It works very well, though it took a bit to get the dimensions exactly right so it's snug but not splaying out in order to fit.
