I have been using them for a few years and love my scrapers. I have a set and additionally a couple of bahko scrapers. The bahko scrapers seem to take burr easier. I am currently burnishing with a hand held burnisher, and I find the key to it is to do what Sarge suggested. Make a few passes at 0 degrees to start turning the burr, then curl it over at an angle. Once I started doing that I had much better success.

I have the LV file holder and burnisher, Pappy.. but that thing you bought from Rockler goes a step beyond with it's own hold-down and all. I really like it from what I see in the picture.

Does it work well for you.. out of curiousity? Actually.. hard to imagine it wouldn't from the picture of it. Very clever indeed.

It works ok. I picked it up at a yard sale or auction and haven't played with it a lot. A PITA to roll an edge on profile scrapers. I like the way the LV burnisher works for that and the consistancey/adjustablilty of the burr angle. May have to add one to the arsenol.

Thanks for the reply, Pappy. Yeah indeedy.. profile scrapers are a pain to get an edge on. Just comes with the price of the ticket I suppose.
