    wide table kit price

What would be a good price to pay for a new in the box wide table kit? $89 + shipping ok? I have gotten enought big tools that I am now thinking of setting to BT3 in a permanent location instead of pushing over to the side of the garage. I will give up the space for my truck for a little more convience.

that sounds comparable to what the normal Ryobi parts retailers get for them.

You do know, WTK includes the 42" extension rails and attaching hardware, no actual table or legs included.

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

Tom, that price seems fair to me based on normal retail but do you need the wide table kit? Depending on your plans for your wide table you may not need the kit, just the rails and a few t-nuts if you plan to build a cart like mine.

The WTK Is just the rails and a few T-nuts/connecting bars/screws. Nothing more

Exactly! I bought one, used it for a couple of years and then when I upgraded to my Sawcart all I now use is four of the t-nuts and the rails. It seems to me that an extra set of rails normally can be purchased from someone parting out a saw for far less than the cost of the kit and t-nuts from T-nuts.com are pretty reasonable. So likely one can assemble athe parts needed for less than the kit price, unless I'm wrong about the going price for rails.

            $89 + shipping sounds quite generous, if it's a BT3100 kit.

            $79 + shipping from MandD... http://www.m-and-d.com/TTI-4730301.html

I found their shipping to be very reasonable. Only $8 for the WTK, accessory table, table legs, and a dado insert.

Thanks for the website. I will check it out and I am into saving money any way I can. I like the idea of getting legs as I won't be building a stand/cabinet for it for a while. I have some projects to do for LOML before she shuts my shop down (see my Post in Around the Coffee Pot "someones not a happy camper") I need to build a cabinet for our new Wide Screen HD TV thats coming and an Island for her kitchen so it would be nice to have the wide table kit to rip and and cross cut plywood.

M and D gave me a quote of $48 for shipping and no legs for the kit, they are a speperate item. Think I will go with my Ebay source and legs are seperate but shipping is only $18. Thanks for the site I will keep them as a resource for parts.

Yes, the extension table leg kit is a separate item from the WTK. You can search MandD for BT3100 and see all available parts...the BT3K FAQ also has a list of all known accessories for the BT3K/BT3100/Sears Clone.

I never asked for a pre order shipping quote, just went through the list of accessories for the BT3100 and added items to my cart. Shipping was calculated at some point during checkout. I was looking at my receipt from April '07 when quoting the $8 shipping...can't imagine that shipping charges have gone up that much in 8 months...maybe the system glitched on my order. FWIW, my order was shipped USPS.
