as Popeye points out, there are a number of flat, 10" disks with a 5/8" arbor hole designed to be used as sanding disks in a 10" table saw, there's no reason they should not work equally well for a RAS.

Popeye has a good idea. I have seen a sanding disk mounted in a RAS. He used it to sand the ends on mitred corners to a perfect 45 degree angle.

If one wanted to sand a shop built RAS table flat, one would need the flat screw on type sanding plate. Jim didn't mention what he was planning on doing with it.

Bill, he wasn't wanting to sand his table flat, he wanted to use the RAS as a disk sander.

Sears Canada tool selection pales in comparison to your Sears.
At one time there was a sanding attachment available without an arbor hole. I imagine that it is no longer available because of the availability of the stand alone disc sander.

I am getting the ole RAS back in shape for cross cutting and would like to use the Radial Arm to sand the roughness off its own cutting surface.I am inspired by the knowledge on this site and now use a Sears BT3. I am an avid reader of all posts. Allthough I do not contribute any knowledge, I feel as though I am always welcome around the coffe pot.
