    HF jointer knives

Does anyone know of a good set of jointer knives to replace the originals on my HF 6" jointer (green floor-standing model). Mine are ready to be replaced, so I thought I would ask those of you who own this jointer. I would like a decent, well-priced set. Thanks.

I have that same jointer with the original knives. Can't they be sharpened? Also HF sells replacement blades for about $10, usually have to order on the web as some stores don't stock them. Otherwise, just measure length, height and thickness and try to find a match with other manufacturer's. I think if you are looking for custom made, they are pretty pricey.

You can buy a way sharper set at Sears for around $25. They are actually 6 1/8" but they fit just fine. You'll be surprised how much smoother they cut. At least they was my experience.

check the above link amazon search for joijnter knoves - may be one or two of these aftermarket knoves will fit - check the dimensions and number of mtg. holes.

I ordered replacement jointer knives from Hartville Tool, and got very high quality HSS knives by Infinity for about the same cost as most average sets.

If the Infinities will fit, then go to their we site, and sign up for their web mail. When I did it I got a Check out code for them, for 10 or 20% my first order, so this might get them cheaper for you.
