    BT3xxx zero clearance inserts

They are now on T-nuts site (thought they were gone for a while). I don't know if Gugie, or who makes them, but are they really there (in stock, not a nonstock item)?

Or should I skip it, and order extra of the UHMW that I need for some projects, and use that to make my own (and the neighbor, whose asking me to find some).

    Thank you all!
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.

LOL! Build vs. buy. I answer that question for a living. I'll try not to use any of my professional tricks on you!

It's really a question of you you prefer to spend your time. If you want to get going on your next furniture project immediately, then buy the ZCTPs from T-nuts.

If you like doing projects in the shop as much as "real" projects, then make them.

      Good advice.
As with most projects, the setup takes a large percentage of the time.
If you need more than one, go ahead and setup to build maybe 12, some for you and some for your neighbor.
The last ten will be a piece of cake.

I made several (using one of the blue ones from T-nuts as a model) out of plastics. I found UHMW (from Woodcraft) to be just a little too flexible for my taste. After talking with a local plastics shop, I used the kind of plastic used for cutting boards -- after being assured that it is somewhat stiffer than standard UHMW. Once you get the dimensions down, it doesn't take long to make one and it would be a lot less expensive than store-bought ZCTPs.

By the way, the ZCTPs from T-nuts are excellent and I would have no reason to make my own other than I wanted to get some practice on the router.

        Regards, Steve.
