I ordered a spare drive belt and a couple spares of those threaded shafts that the bearings attach to, about 3 weeks ago. Stuff arrived in 2 different packages about a week ago. If Sears quit selling parts for it, they just recently made that decision. And they're still selling the bandsaw; it's unusual for Sears parts to drop support for an item until many years after it's no longer being sold. I've never seen them drop support for current items unless the item is too cheap to even bother repairing in the first place.
I plugged whalers number into sears parts and got the diagram and order list. Parts are available. Here's where you want to go. Turn on cookies and allow javascript. Type the number 119.214000 into the model number box. http://www3.sears.com/
I have had the parts not available thing happen when the website has crashed before. During their normal maintenance, they place up "thanks for visiting, the site is down for routine maintenance".
She couldn't tell the difference between the escape pod, and the bathroom. We had to go back for her.........................Twice.
I'm 99% sure you just typed in 21400 in the model no. search.
you have to use the full 9-digit number found on the manufacturers plate.
119.214000 as Whaler said.
the 119 is the manufacturers number and then you have to tack a zero on the end.
I guess the 21400 is really a model number but the 119.21400 is really the full part number.
I tested it by typing in 21400 and get the same message you do.
read down farther int eh message and you'll see this:
Quick Tip: Some items may have a model number with a three digit prefix that is smaller than the rest of the model number and it looks similar to: "123.123456789". Please use the complete model number (e.g. 123.123456789) when using the model number lookup.
