I read the sticker it said it was broken and for parts only $25. well I looked all over and couldn't find anything visibly wrong with it. I figured if I couldnt fix it I would sell the parts on ebay. Well I got it home and found that the only thing wrong with it was that it had a broken roller drive sprocket. I ordered the part for $3.45 plus shipping.

Now the cost of the $549 planer was $25 plus the part for a total cost under $30 dollars and it works like new.
I am new around here but I have to ask if you were a gentleman and at least gave them a kiss on the back of the neck when you were done...AWESOME find!

And here I was happy with finding a new craftsman drill and circular saw one clearance saving about $150 because there was an additional discount (two actually) on the tools in their clearance bin...now I feel like I suck at finding stuff anymore...

What's that big yellow thing beside your piano? (sorry -- I'm a piano tuner/technician, and that particular mind-switch is permanently stuck in the "on" position….) The piano will certainly be too wide and tall to fit in the planer!

No seriously, Great score! We'll be interested to hear about how well it planes once you get it fixed.

                Congrats,

                Joe
