This is not a BIG HUGE GIANT GLOAT

I regularly go to the local lowes to check out the tools that they have for sale. Yesterday I went and checked out some of their returns. Sitting on the ground was a returned dewalt 735 planer that looks like it may have been used once. I read the sticker it said it was broken and for parts only $25. well I looked all over and couldn't find anything visibly wrong with it. I figured if I couldnt fix it I would sell the parts on ebay. Well I got it home and found that the only thing wrong with it was that it had a broken roller drive sprocket. I ordered the part for $3.45 plus shipping.

Now the cost of the $549 planer was $25 plus the part for a total cost under $30 dollars and it works like new.

Congrats, Crash, that's a heck of a score. I just hope Jeffrey doesn't stress out trying to top it.

I am surprised they didn't just send it back to the mfr.

Immediately, I can tell you that is illegal.

You have made out like a bandit, and Lowes authorities could be looking for you now. You might want to get rid of the incriminatory evidence. PM me and I shall supply you my address, I am willing to be the fall guy.

And once I am done with that deal, I vote we do not allow such posts here. Gives me a heartburn like none else.

      you suck, man.

          First things first:

          YOU SUCK

I would strongly suggest that you don't ship it to radhak, to ship something like that would be terrible. I'm only a couple of hours away, I'll just drive up and take it off your hands!

I was looking at and reading reviews about this model last night. I was in my local Lowes to pick up a 32 tooth dewalt saw blade to finish my trex double decker project (you can only use 32 tooth and they only sell them in the combo pack for $60 bucks ) this morning and was looking high and low for a bargain.

For some reason I think all the Lowes in WA state suck for return / closeout bargains as I NEVER find anything even close to what other people on the forum have posted. I guess an ok delta miter stand for $99 but I wouldn't consider that a find like you scored on. Thats one of the best deals I've seen on BT3 since I joined ... great job and I'm really jealous in WA !!!

I'll give you $60 for it if you'll pay the shipping. Seriously, congrats that's a heck of a find.

You must have a golden horse shoe stuff up somewhere ... sheesh, that has to be beyond a doubt the best score in my opinion I've heard yet ... our local big box stores seem to be much smarter than that as they knock $50 of the regular price when it's broke ...

By the way ... if this is NOT a Big Huge Giant Gloat, I'd like to see what kind of actual deal you classify as BIG HUGE GIANT GLOAT!!!.
