    SD308.

I have one and paid, I think, $120 about 6-7 years ago from Amazon.
Quick check of internet pricing shows about $130-150 new, now.

        oh, yes, quite good.
Should have chosen a 6" for use with my BT3000, but makes great cuts when installed to the fit limit.

Since you have a non-BT3 Delta, if I recall correctly, an 8" should be fine for you.

          Morning P8ntblr...

Loring gave you a good tip with the recommendation of a Freud 6" instead of an 8" with a BT3. I have the Freud Super 6" and it cuts very clean, even though I cut most dadoes with a router. As most stacked dadoes, it will leave a very slight ridge on the bottom trough that can be cleaned easily if ya want perfection. I just make one pass with a Veritas medium shoulder plane (which is just slightly a few .000 under 3/4") and it is perfect so to speak.

But... since the addition of the Uni-saw and that BT3 sitting in the back shop as you noticed when you came by to pick up the Delta planer, the Super 6 got installed on it so I don't have the PITA of the set-up. And it's not that difficult to set-up, but it saves time I could spend elsewhere.

Whatever you get... may I suggest that once you find the combo for 3/4", either tape them together to put back in the case or at least tab the blades used in the 3/4" set-up with a piece of masking tape or spot them with a colored magic marker to avoid seeking the solution with each use.

Now... if ya happen to know one of those GA. TECH grad-u-ates, they could probaby think up something even more technilogical.

And BTW.. if ya don't plan to do a lot of dadoes but have a project that requires them... drop by the shop one Fri. or Sat. and I will let you take my set home to cut them and determine if ya wanna buy your own set before actually dropping money on a counter.

          Regards...

I think you got me confused with someone else Sarge. Unless I have a Delta planer somehwere I don't know about.

I appreciate the offer but the drive from Los Angeles might be a little far

                  P8, $40 would be good deal. Even if it was dull, you've got 24 + 24 + 5 x 2 teeth or about 58 I count.
You can probably get the whole thing sharpened like new for another $20 or so, (figuring $0.33 per tooth like the local sharp service).
