    Ryobi 18v Batteries

I bought a new set for My collection of 18v tools November 2005. I could not

get My old ones to charge at all. I tried to freeze them, like I heard, still no

go. I didn't get rid of them, as I keep everything, and picked one up

Yesterday and put it in charger. It started charging, green light came on and

and put it in drill, it worked. I plugged in another old one and it took a charge

also. I don't know How it happened, but that gives Me 5 batteries. Bill

I'm curious if the "renewed" battery performed well under load, and lasted a decent period of time.

Depending on what was wrong with the battery, letting them sit that long would have completely discharged them.

I don't know how long they will last, I'm using the 1st one on My Miter Saw. I'm sawing 2 X 4 studs to length to frame in some windows I am removing in the bedroom removal. So Far So Good. Bill

I was having a problem with one of Ryobi 18v batteries where it was extremely weak, yet wouldn't take a charge. I clipped it into the flashlight and left it on for a few days. When i finally got back to it, it charged right back up to where it was before the problem started.

I got a set of Ryobi 18v tools probably about 4-5 years ago just before they started calling them "One+" Does anyone know if the One+ batteries work in these slightly older tools?

Yes they work. I bought an extra one last summer. My old ones are regular (older).
