Mike, it goes in that hole in the far left corner, and is intended to stick out to catch the fence when it's being removed, to prevent it falling down on the chassis.

          Morning Ken...

Ken, I'm afraid that if ya don't get some paint on those walls to compliment the new Rikon, we have no choice but to report the matter to the Federal Enviromental Protection Agency who in turn will probably send a SWAT team out to close your shop down. ha.. ha.. ha..ha..ha..

On a serious note, congratulations on the new addition and I think you will find a world of difference in your new blade compared to the stock junk. I have been using Woodslicers for years and they are top notch. They will dull quicker than bi-metal and carbide, but they are quiet and give about as smooth a cut in re-saw as you will get.

The Iturri blade is the same as heard in the grape-vine at a lower cost. I have not tried one yet but will if you give them a favorable OK. BTW.. doesn't hurt to keep a spare on hand. I do it with TS and BS. Nothing more annoying than dull or broken blade and waiting on a replacement. I don't have time for "down-time" and that is the most critical reason for a spare.

Now go reap your rewards and re-saw everything around the house that your wife doesn't have bolted down.

Regards from just down the road a piece...

                      Very Nice

Congrats on the saw, Ken. Nice piece of machinery and now you can forget dreaming about that new band saw. Ummmh, what to get next? Happy cutting and love those Iturra blades that you recommended, resawing has never been so good on my Grizzly.
