    Is this Worth it???

    I just made an offer on a Ryobi 18" variable speed Scroll Saw for $35. It is five years old and was use very little (as they said),Bought at HD for $100.
    SO did I just loose money?

    If it runs and doesn't vibrate too bad, it can't be too bad for $35. If you get serious into scrolling, you will want to upgrade. You can probably get what you paid for it. I went from the Delta to the DeWalt and love it. But it is about 10x that cost.

      You can blow $35 going to the movies -- and you wouldn't have another tool in the shop. If you need a scroll saw from time to time, this seems like a decent way to go.

        You did good, it's a decent scrollsaw especially for $35. I thought the Ryobi was a 16", tho, not that that matters much.

          That's what I use and I think it's a great saw -- especially for $35!

            Got the new toy

            Well I got the Scroll saw today. It is a 16" not an 18" but it looks brand new, so I'll deal with the loose of two inches in depth.
            I'll play with it tomorrow. Do you guys hook these up to a DC? Just wondering.

              shop vac. They don't make a lot of dust volume wise. Mine has a small port on it.
