    canister filters question

does any one know the difference between the JET canister and "dust dog" canister.

the dc's at rockler store have dc with canisters that have "dust dog" written across them, but on their website, they show "JET" written accross them. i called rockler, the tech guy said that jet doesnt make canister filter and they come with dust dog. i then called wc, they say jet machines only come with jet canister, and he hasnt heard of dust dog.

so i am confused compeletly, what is what? the search on the web yielded nothing either. does anyone know?

    regards,

the above seems to indicate that Dust Dog is a trademark of Jet.
I've seen Jet CK units with both canisters showing Dust Dog and JET logos. (maybe there's one of each on opposites sides).
Maybe Dust Dog was an independent supplying Jet but got acquired by jet hence the transitioning of logs and the wording at Amazon.

thanks loring. i saw the same amazon page, but wasnt sure if they are right because they have so many times had the wrong model number or description of the sale item.

what you are saying is what i thought too, but talking to tech guys at the store (both wc and rockler) they dont seem to know much. its frustrating to see them not know their own product!

        regards,
