I guess I'm gonna be the odd man out .... mine has gotta be my Ridgid planer, and only because of the noise. I don't know why, but it just strikes a major nerve with me and I absolutely hate running the thing.

I plan on upgrading to a 15" 'real' planer at some point, hopefully I won't feel the same way about that one.
If it ain't broke.. don't fix it!!!... but you can always 'hop it up'

I'm with Rod, the messy ones. My SCMS, freehand anything that doesn't attach to a shop vac.

Band saw blade changing is a pain, but I don't do it often enough that I find it a major issue.

The tool I most hate has to be the hand held saber/scroll saw. Never met one that could cut straight even with an edge guide. This tool has pissed me off more times than I can count. Routers no problem, tables saws no problem, hand held circular saws love em. Every time I think of a saber saw I just want to put a beat down on one with a large hammer.

I love making sawdust.
I got a postcard in the mail today from Woodcraft stating that there is an Early Bird Special, between the hours of 8 AM til 10 AM giving you an additional 5% that you can add to your 10% discount. Every little bit helps.

Unfortunately the extra 5% doesn’t apply to power tools. The guys at my local store said they will have some giveaways and I'm sure there is some accessory I need but don't know it yet.

I think it's the dial indicator I got to set the joiner knives... Before that I used the magnetic setting guide. Ignorance was bliss, now it takes me hours to set the knves!

Belt sander - can screw up things in a hurry. Grinder - hate to have to deal with it (but must frequently while turning wood).

probably my circular saw. Its on the list for replacement. other than that I don't hate any more of my tools. I also have drill press and DC on the list for replacement. They both work but the DP is to small and the DC is to small and doesn't have a canister (or really good bag).
Other than that I am happy with all my tools. Its pretty much my fault now if there is a mistake. Can't blame the tools or lack of tools any more. They are capable of precision and I have pretty much all that I need (that I am currently aware of needing). I on the other hand am not nearly as precise as my tools.

Makita Belt Sander . . . it is whiner than Fran Dresher! Don't get me wrong, it works fine, it just makes the most unnerving sound in the world!

As far as anoying tools that don't work it would be a tie between two B&D products that have been passed down to others . . . Mouse Sander and B&D 1/4 Sheet Sander.

I think that is a good point. The sound a tool makes can go a long way in satisfaction. I have an Hitachi router that is a joy to use mainly because it does not scream like some of my others.

                          most disliked machine?

For me ...probably the Ryobi scrollsaw...bought it used from a friend.
It is PITA to change the blades at least it is to me... I wish they designers
of this saw would make that feature a little easier to do.

Hand held router without any close seconds. Band-saw and jointer blade changing and adjustments are a quick and easy!

                            Regards...

                                Gotta get a Bosch, guys!

Four months ago I would have posted a reply similar to those above. Now that I got the barrel-grip Bosch, I look forward to using this tool.

My least favorite now is my CMS. Noisy, messy, can't keep it accurate. I think an upgrade is in order....

And Sparky...you know of course that the handheld jig saw isn't really designed to cut straight lines. Not that we don't all use if for that by necessity once in awhile...but it's really designed to be a curve-cutter.
