It's quite possibly a good deal depending on condition, any additional items. PM is a well respected name. The wings are webbed CI. Not sure what the fence is...Vega was my first thought...if so, it's a good buy. I'd try offering $250, but would consider paying $300 if I really liked it.

The ad said "Powermatic Artisans Saw" but didn't state the model. I'm emailing him/her now with that question and whether they would accept $250. My first concern though is the lack of a spreader.

Btw, are having webbed wings an advantage? I assume they do this to have less surface tension while sliding the material over the table?

They're stiff and machined flat and stay flat (and the missing sections I guess save weight)
          compared with stamped steel wings.

The advantage of the webbed wings is mainly cost and weight, but you can place clamps in the middle of the webbed wing which can come in handy. The downside is lower weight (mass means stability), and pinching fingers.

It's likely that the model is a PM63 or possibly even an early PM64.

I believe that you are right on with the PM63.

I just blew up the pics and looked closer....can't see a model number, but it's definitely a Vega fence. Nice $225 fence IMO!

My neighbor has one and it has served him well. I would say that is not a bad deal.

The saw would be a great deal, definitely go for it. Even if you have to pay the asking price, the saw with the fence is a great combo.

If you mean splitter, you can add a Microjig splitter in the insert, or make your own.
