HF Digital Caliper - 4" vs 6" or larger

I just purchased the HF 4' digital cailper for $15.00.

Now, I am wondering if I will later regret not purchasing the longer 6'' model for $16.00.

I like the compact size of the 4" model and I am not sure whether I am likely to encounter a need for the longer model.

What would you recommend?

I have the 6" model and can't recall ever needing it for anything that even came close to its max. capacity. My guess is you'll be just fine with the 4" version.

I think the vast majority of those sold are 6"
Sort of a sweet spot between little extra cost and not too unweildy.
I use mine up to 6" quite often.

P.S. If i had to put a number to it, lets say 95% of the measurements are under 4"...

I have a 6", but almost never use more than 4" of it.
