Woodworking Mag - Moisture Meter Review

I am in need of a moisture meter. Seems I mixed 200 bf or 12% walnut with 200 bf of 6% walnut. A recent Woodworking magazine rated about 8 or so moisture meters. Can one of you fine subscribers tell me the over all winner? I assume Lignomat Mini?
    Thanks

Looks like it was in the "Autumn 2006 Issue"

Sorry I don't get that particular one Jeff.

Wait! Where's the HF unit? Seriously not recommended?

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

Maybe in the Monty Python and the Holy Grail category. Run away! Run away!

Thanks. I believe I will get something in the Wagner line (210 or 220 w/ 1/10th read outs). I like not having to factor temp into reading. These pinless units are also good for reading content on installed drywall, etc.
Now all I have to do is find someone selling the 210.
            Thanks!

Guys, I've spent enough on tools lately and I don't need to drop another $200 on a moisture meter. But I do have what I need now to work with rough lumber and hope to start visiting some local lumber yards in the near future.

Am I going to have any kind of decent results with a meter like this from Rockler ?

              http://www.rockler.com/product.cfm?O...HCGFDADADADBDB

Also, with these pins, how do the guys at the lumber yard react ? There surely must be marks left behind after doing this. Not a big deal ? I've never done it or seen it done so just wondering about that part.

Thanks as always for the feedback and education !

              Steve

Hey!! Wish I had to much wood to mix up....The tools cost enough then to be told I can't spend more than $350 for the wood for my next project sucks....That should be about 70 bf of lyptus for my desk.
