    Ryobi Charger Issues

    I have had my Ryobi 18V combo for several years and have recently needed to purchase a new charger. It would appear that the battery has given me the a green/yellow error message when installed in the charger. I left the battery on the charger and came back to find that no lights on the charger were lit at all.

    Now the charger will not charge any of my other batterys. Is this a problem that was caused by a faulty battery or is it a problem with the charger?

    Any help would be appreciated.

          Check and see if the charger has an internal fuse that needs replacing.
          Charging a bad battery pack can cause it to draw too much power and pop a fuse.

              It would appear that it was the fuse in the charger that went bad. I replaced the fuse with one from Radio Shack and all is well. Radio shack part number 270-1055 4 amp 125 volt 5x20mm GMA type fast acting fuse. Just in case anyone else needs to resolve this issue.
