    Craftsman 22401 14" BS

Ordered the saw today. Website says it uses a (has) 99 3/4" blade.
I don't see a timberwolf blade that size...

any idea if they have sizes not listed on their web page?

Suffolk will cut any TW blade to length for you. Price it at the next longer length. Their "443" code will get 4 blades for the price of 3 if you're a first timer....maybe your neighbor needs some if you're not a first timer.

Came close to pulling the plug on that one when I was in Sears yesterday. Let us know how you like it after making some cuts.

It is reported that there is 10% Craftsman Club today.

EDIT : There is 10% off for everyone, no CC needed today. Onedash, you should be able to get a refund.

          It's not a "popular" size.
BUT, all bandsaw blades are created in a long, long piece of steel with teeth. Then then cut it to size and weld the ends together to make the looped blade for bandsaws. In fact, serious bandsaw users buy bulk material and have their own welding machines (usually industrial users with multiple saws).

Timberwolf/suffolk machinery will make a bandsaw blade for you to your specs down to fractional inches if you want, at no surcharge, very little if any extra delay, they do it all the time. Most other bandsaw blade sources will also do it, but Lowes and HD and hardware stores are usually not set up to sell anything but the popular lengths.

It looks like the sale price is higher and 10% off would most likely apply to todays price not yesterdays.

I just got a new Craftsman club brochure today. The brochure is very confusing. It discusses exclusive member savings from Nov 5 - 11 (2 weeks ago) and then goes on to state "Lowest member prices thru Dec 25. The 12" model 22400 is shown as being on sale for $240. It not clear whether this price is good thru 12/25.

Sears often has early bird discounts this time of year. I pick up a few items these past 2 days at 10% off very good sale prices.

I own the 14" craftsman bandsaw and am very pleased with it. I was going to buy the 12" model until I happened on a clearance deal on the 14" model a year or so ago.

The blade that comes with it is an Olsen, and is pretty good. I've had timberwolf make me several blades for it. The woodslicer from highland hardware can also be ordered for it, but you have to call, that size isn't listed on the web site.

They now have a 3 blade pack, at 50$ it isn't that bad of a price, and those blades are probably made by Olsen.

I've had mine for almost a year, and I like it a lot.
