    Dead Grinder

I bought a HF slow speed wet grinder several months ago but have never set it up. I got it out of the box today to get some ideas for a cabinet/stand and plugged it in. The motor hums but neither wheel turns. It is obvious that it hasn't been used so I guess I'm heading to HF after work tomorrow to exchange it.

morale of the story - test HF stuff immediately when you bring it home.

The first one I got at WC ran backwards! I called them after getting home and testing it and they laughed and said that wasn't possible..
I took it back and tested the replacement in the store, then plugged the original one in and turned it on.
I picked up the replacement and walked out the door, laughing my butt off watching their faces as the grinder turned in reverse. Hey Paul I said the the mgr., grab a Sorby chisel and stick it to the wheel...
Some days are just good. :-D

Gotta love HF sometimes. Swapped it out, no questions asked. Tested the new one in the store.
