Before you go to all that trouble, you might want to call HF using the part number from the owner's manual (available on their website also). I ordered one a while back. HF says they're out of stock but should be getting some this month. They have been on back order for a while....
Here's a quote from somebody's site re the conversion:
Q: What was involved in placing the Grizzly riser block on the CM bandsaw? Would you do it again?
A: The riser block had to be drilled out to accept the different alignment pin holes. New bolts were required to attach the pieces together. The blade guard for the left side (riser block side) didn't fit correctly. The cover for the left side no longer fit correctly. The blade guide supplied by Grizzly was 21mm, whereas the CM required a 19mm rod, so I had to get a new 19mm rod. Would I do it again? No. I would call the HF customer service department and order the proper riser block, part number 9645 (new part number) or 22436 (old part number).
