Phillips are designed to cam out in drywall applications using a screwgun w. depth guide. Bulge head drywall screws really are not for woodworking although we all use them at times.

So that is why I had so much trouble! No. just kidding. I use to compensate by applying more force to keep it from cam out. Now with the ID, I don't have to.

Ken, Check out Allied Casework Supply at 1140 Whitehorse Rd for sq drive screws. They are less than a mile off I85. They sell in boxes of 1000. I forget what I paid as I bought several boxes last year but they were cheaper than ordering them. I bought my Kreg PH screws when they were on sale at Woodcraft. Buy 2 and get 1 free. I bought the large 1000 pc boxes and got 3 for the price of 2. Allied PH number is 299-6165.

anyone seen the pocket hole drill bit for the regular screw head like a drywall screw? I think I seen it on TV once and can't recall why they used that over the flat screw head. Might have been NYW?
