    I believe the pliers are similar to what was called water pump pliers. The other one I need detail of the bottom to help. I'm probably wrong. Bill

      The bottom one is similar to a pair of pliers I have that are supposed to be used to remove springs from drum brakes.

        I think the top one is a "Cannon" (sp?) plug plier used on large diameter connectors in communications and electrical wiring, as in aircraft.

            The ones with the serrated jaws are cannon plug pliers. When I was in the Army signal corps, we used those frequently.
            I can only please one person a day ........

                I did some DOD work back in the 80's and the one set is definately Cannon plug pliers. By the 80's they did come with replaceable white soft jaw pads.
