I'm still looking for a drill press vise. The ones I've seen have a radial shaft running through its length. The problem I see is drilling through whatever I'm holding in the vise and then drilling into the goofy shaft right below it. Am I missing something? Shouldn't a drill press vise be open below the jaws to allow the drill bit to come out whatever is being drilled? Yes, I know I could put a piece of scrap wood under what's being drilled, but it would have to be smaller than what's being drilled so it wouldn't prevent the jaws from clamping what's being drilled. I'd also like to have one that angles. Does anyone have any comments?
Thanks,
Rick
