    6"+ metal spring clams

    hey guys,
been a while since i passed by here.
well current dilema is im tearin my hair out trying to find a good deal on decent quality spring clamps

i dotn need fancy jorgy's but alot of the ebay ones just look like junk..

i've found a few that were $1 a pop and that would work out jsut fine cept for 1 source gouged on shipping, another on ebay only has like 14 available. not even enough to get the free-shipping so theyre out..blah..

i want to be at least 100 of these silly little things, maybe 200, i was hoping i could find them wholesale someplace?

    any tips are appreciated

do they look chinsey to you? i wasnt too excited to go witht hose straight sided types. .20 is definitely cheap. his shipping brings them up to $1.still good jsut not sure about that design.
i'm thinking of some i saw on amazon.maybe ill just go with them
theyre knockoffs of teh "pony" style jorgy etc.

Just did a quick froogle search and came up with these at $0.99 a piece and I think it was $35 to ship 200 to the east coast.

Do they have to be metal???

I've bought 18pc assortments of the black plastic spring clamps at WalMart for $4.88 .... it's been awhile since I've looked to see if they still have them, but I do know that they had them for quite awhile at that price.
If it ain't broke.. don't fix it!!!... but you can always 'hop it up'

            thank ou mpauly and thom'
i did some froogling also,i missed that oene though, that might just do it for me thanks
this is exactly the type im looking for..

i have some of the black/orang plastic ones too, cant say they're terrible for what ive used them for,but i kinda like the metal more. theyre less bulky and slip into tight places better, stronger pressure too. i think 200 metal ones will take less storage space too! the important thing is to open 2" to fit over the 2x2 cedar ballistur im using.

heres soem pics of what im using them for...ive been forced to use F-bar clamps too since i ran out of springs..it works but theyre heavy and not as suited for this application. but these are cedar-cradled masonite panels that artists paint on instead of canvas..i have ongoing orders with a few artists i know for these and its been a nice little cash cow considering the relative ease of construction...well will be easier with the right clamps!!
