      That's where mine is also. Would have been nice to have a backup copy in the manual too but it isn't so.

      Last night I created 12 speed labels with old diskette labels and magnetic tape. I'm keeping the unused ones on the inside side of the cover (where they won't get in the belts and pulleys if they fall off) and the current speed right on the front of the cover as was suggested above. Great idea!

        I have a bench top craftsman DP and I dont even know how to detension anything. I just walk the belt up or down. It seems like the belt should be tighter than it is though.

          I am now. Scored a 45+ year old gear head drill press from work, gratis. It's got something like 40 speeds available, and is an MT5 spindle. Big old booger, about a 30", and close to 7' tall, runs on 600V 3 phase.

          So.......my old delta 12 spd 16.5 incher has now been moved over to the wood shop.
