    Router bit poll

Polls are fun - you get to see what other's are doing. How about this one?
BTW, I'm trying some new options - you can pick more than one and everyone will be
able to see what you picked (shouldn't be too embaressing, there's no such thing as a
sissy bit, is there?) (unless it's an ogee bit, eh, Jim?)

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

Favorite is probably the wrong word. I voted for the bit I seem to use the most.

Ditto. 1/2" straight is my workhorse. Rabbets, dadoes, grooves, ect. Then a couple roundovers and an ogee, and you have my most used bits.

Sounds a little like a horse race...

"It's Roundover leading by a length over Straight Bit, followed closely by Flush Trim and in the middle of the pack, Pattern Bit and Rabbet....

My "straight bit" (workhorse), is actually a 1" dia upcut spiral - rarely take it out of the Router table (Triton router).
          Downunder ... 1" = 25.4mm

I voted other because my favorite bit is a lock miter bit. If the question asked was what bit do you use most often, the answer would be round over.

Me too, can't say I have a favorite, unless it was the corner beading bit but it doesn't get used alot. Pat
