    PC Dovetail jig

So I picked up the 12" jig at Lowes for $99 - will this jig make friends with my Bosch router or is the jig species specific and I need a PC router?

Please tell me the Bosch will be fine!

    Thanks

All you need is a template guide of the right size (WAG from memory is 7/16"?) and any router should work.

I don't have the PC jig but I have the 1617 router and use the Bosch quick connect template guides. works well.

If your only tool is a hammer, you tend to treat all problems as if they were nails.

I recently bought the 4212 and it comes with the bushings. I have a Bosch 1617 and tried it out with the plunge base. Two ways to go. Buy the PC bushing adapter or use the correct size Bosch bushing 3/4" O.D. (not 7/16"). It worked great. The fixture even has a bit height gauge to take most of the trial/error out of set-up. I previously had a HF but this PC is much easier/quicker to use.
