I could be wrong, it wouldn't be the 1st time thats happened, but the Grrrripper looks kinda creepy to me. I think I will stick with push sticks. I don't like the idea of putting my hand right accross the top of the blade. Thats not to say it doesn't work great, it just freaks me out a little.Awww forget trying to fix it!!!! Lets just drink beer

I found it a little unnerving the first time I used it, but quickly got used to it. With the blade guard on, I will make cuts wearing tight-fitting long sleeves. With the Grr-ripper, I have to have bare forearms to feel comfortable because of the blade being exposed after the cut. I'm thinking about making a pivoting blade guard similar to a jointer cutter head guard, that would spring back into place after the Grr-ripper passes the blade.Originally posted by thestinkerI could be wrong, it wouldn't be the 1st time thats happened, but the Grrrripper looks kinda creepy to me. I used them a number of times so far and I like them but yeah the first couple of times I was really on guard but after getting used to the exposed blade you do get a little used to it. I really don't ever want to feel completely comfortable while using any power tool anyway. I think that's what keeps you on guard. I guess until I hear otherwise they are to me as safe as you're gonna get on the table saw. The one mishap I've read about here in the forum was due to operator fault and not the Grr-Ripper so I think that's pretty good compared to all the ones I've read and heard about without using them. Not trying to talk anybody in to buying them cause I'm certainly no expert on the subject and barely could be called a woodworker due to the 1 year that I only have under my belt but it is "Just my personal opinion".May you die and go to heaven before the Devil knows you're dead.
