loss of suction over a long run

I have a shop vac, and I would like to set up a dust collection network for it, because a dust collector isn't in my (near) future, unfortunately. I was wondering if there would be much of a suction loss over say 20 feet of pvc sch40 piping?

    Suction

Just finished making a 10 ft PVC run with a tee for the rear of my saw and the new Sharkguard. Seem to pull fine.

You don't say what size PVC you're using, so I'll assume 2-1/2". You won't lose much at 20', but you will lose some. You can always up-size to 3" and use bushings to get back to 2-1/2". That will minimize your loss. PVC pipe is smooth inside compared to flex hose, so going to PVC will help some, even if you don't upsize.
...eight, nine, TEN! Yep! Still got all my fingers!
