Extra plate in Sears router mounting kit?

I picked up one of the sears router mounting kits (22210) on clearance last month- it comes with 2 plates. I'm using the bare aluminum one that is predrilled for several patterns with my Bosch 1617 on a bt3100 (would have been nice if they had bothered to countersink the holes... but at least it fit the 3 hole pattern)
Anybody know what the other blue painted plate is used with? It has a single 4 hole pattern but the holes are much larger- and not spaced evenly. Does not look like a router pattern-
    Thanks, Dave

At one time, and this has since been discontinued, Ryobi used to include a plate to mount a jig saw upside down in the auxiliary table to try and emulate a scroll saw. It was not very, uh, "highly embraced" by the precision woodowrking system people. (it didn't work very well). Instead of a round hole it had a slot for the blade. I think maybe it had holes to fit a particular Ryobi jig saw model. Big vibration maker.

An understatement. New definition of wood working would be to have the wife sit on the saw while making some scroll cuts

ROTFLMAO! I'll have to try that, since I got your old one. LOML might like it better than my 1000 pound Milwaukee Vibrator...(Harley)

Wait, "old one"? Is that Jim's saw or wife that you are talking about.
